The poems collected in ‘Tribute’ were composed by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage for three significant royal occasions. ‘The Patriarchs: An Elegy’ was written after Prince Philip passed away in April 2021, ‘Queenhood’ celebrates the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, while ‘Floral Tribute’ was composed upon her death, three months later. Gathered together and introduced by a short author’s note, this collector’s edition presents a lasting tribute as we come to terms with the end of an era.
